The decor was very interesting, linked to theatre and music...which reflects the history of the building. The owner is extremely friendly and eager to share information about the hotel and the village. He speaks several languages. Where you have breakfast (excellent, with home made jam), you can also have aperitifs in the evening. An added bonus is the lift. It is a very attractive, historical, village. There are a couple of restaurants in the village and we had a very good meal at Manfreddis. There are many interesting places to visit nearby, including Panicale, Castilione del Lago...and the lake.

The has been renovated to a very high standard and feels new., but retains all the character of the original building. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a walk-in shower as well as a spa bath. There is a lift to help with luggage (although a bit slow). Free parking is just outside the city wall, an easy one minute walk away. Claudio, the owner/manager could not have been kinder or more helpful.

Claudio, the owner and manager of Antico Sipario, is contagiously enthousiastic and very, very hospitable. In addition, he's full of tips about the surroundings. You can ask anything you want to know about the region. Breakfast is a mix of local specialities (including the family's own olive oil) and contintental breakfast. You can ask for more or less of any of the ingredients and vent your own wishes.

The stuff were extremely helpful, they gave us advice for dinner and drinks and details about the town and the area. The room was huge and really comfortable to arrange our stuff. Bathroom amazing -big and clean- heating was appropriate for the temperature outside ( since we arrived in a cold day).
